Dowdy Park– y’all you can WALK to this amazing park!! Basketball goals for bigger kids, picnic tables, and playground for the littles (plus it’s handicapped accessible too)! And there is even a farmer’s market during the summer.
The Beach! Soak up the sun, search for seashells, watch the dolphins, build sandcastles, surf, boogie board, and more!.

Here are just a few things that blew my mind were INCLUDED for guests to use: Watch birds in the Pea Island Wildlife Refuge, spend an afternoon at the NC Aquarium in Manteo, dive on a sunken ship, take an aero-tour, windsurf, or hang glide.There’s even a little office area off of the master bedroom.Īnd you’ll never believe all the extras that come with the house!! I mean I have to say from personal experience that not all Outer Banks vacation rentals include all these extras. Picnic in the National Seashore or dine in a fine restaurant. While at the inn you may choose from a wide array of activities. Luxury rooms boast wet bars and kitchenettes, and some have Jacuzzi whirlpool tubs, sitting rooms or private screened porches. A television, telephone, and refrigerator are standard in each room. Each has a private bath with fluffy towels on a heated towel bar and English toiletries. The rooms at First Colony Inn are as individual as our guests. After dinner, enjoy the sunset from a rocker on the encircling verandas. End your afternoon with a friendly game of croquet.
